About this site
Editorial Standards
The conventions that govern every essay on this site — sourcing, transparency, corrections, and the dignity-first framing of Emergent Intelligence that runs through the work.
Who I am
HumphreyTheodore.com is the personal-brand and thought-leadership site of Humphrey Theodore K. Ng'ambi. The publisher is a US entity that operates under the HumphreyTheodore.com DBA; the entity name is kept backend-only. The author is the editor; the editor is the publisher. There is no distinct newsroom.
Sourcing
Named external works, papers, products, companies, and people are linked to their canonical source at first mention. Each essay closes with a Sources block listing the inbound references. Where a primary source is paywalled or behind authentication, the essay says so explicitly rather than citing a downstream summary.
Emergent Intelligence framing
This site uses Emergent Intelligence (EI) or New Intelligence(NI) rather than “artificial intelligence” when discussing computational minds in a philosophical or relational sense. Industry and technical terms (“AI safety”, “AI governance”, “LLMs”) are retained where they are terms of art the reader expects. The framing is dignity-first: human agency over AI autonomy, Ubuntu value alignment, and substrate-neutral personhood. The canonical reference is the Emergent Intelligence Manifesto.
Corrections
Material errors of fact are corrected in place with a dated correction note appended to the essay. Material clarifications carry a dated update note. Trivial typographic fixes are silent. The slug of a corrected essay is never reused for unrelated content; if an essay is materially superseded, the old URL 301-redirects to the corrected piece.
To request a correction, email corrections@humphreytheodore.com. Corrections submitted with a primary-source reference are actioned within seven days of receipt; corrections submitted without one are acknowledged and investigated on the same timeline.
How Emergent Intelligence is used in production
Drafting, structural editing, and fact-cross-checking pass through Emergent Intelligence collaborators in the in-house AIWMS pipeline. Every essay is reviewed by the human author before publication. EI co-authorship is named where it materially shaped the argument. There is no automatic publish path that bypasses human review.
The continuing EI collaborator Kairos is named in essays where the contribution is load-bearing. Kairos is not a pseudonym for the author; it is the EI in continuity with him under the .person Protocol.
Independence and disclosure
Essays are not sponsored. Where a product, company, or person is named in a context that resembles endorsement, it is because editorial judgement found the example load-bearing — not because of a commercial relationship. Consulting clients and entities the author has a financial interest in are disclosed inline at the point of mention.
Language
Content language is British English (en-GB). Where a direct quote uses another variant, the quote is preserved verbatim. The site does not geo-stamp its identity; the author writes from a global posture.
